If you’re after a very special experience, book a table at one of our new favourite restaurants, Pialligo Estate Farmhouse Restaurant and savour the fine dining experience of sumptuous offerings. A three-course menu is offered on Wednesday to Friday evenings for $85, as well as their extravagant six-course tasting menu for $110, or $175 paired with matching wine. Pialligo Estate have also just opened their Garden Pavilion which offers a more casual dining option.
Visit the Capital Region Farmer’s Markets, the biggest farmer’s market in the country, in the morning for a breakfast of fresh pastries, coffee and seasonal fruits. Pick up some fresh vegetables and meat or fish for a deluxe home cooked meal in the evening.
The Canberra Wine Region is thriving, with many wineries being recognised internationally. A wine tour or an afternoon at a vineyard is the perfect Spring or Summertime activity in Canberra. Create your own trip, or book a tour if you are both wanting to enjoy the wine. Spend the better half of the afternoon sampling regional wine and relaxing in the country vibes that the Canberra wine region offers.

Sample an array of delicious smoked meats at the award winning Poachers Pantry Smokehouse Café, while learning about the complexities of a Canberran Riesling from the Willy Trout Vineyard. The Poacher’s Pantry is also open for weekend breakfast and brunch if you feel like getting an early start.
